So this post is gonna be full of cheesy sentimental stuff but hopefully will inspire someone to follow their dream whatever that maybe!

My dream job……is exactly what Im doing right now! only bigger!

Being self employed is hard, its not for everyone. Its not the glamour everyone expects it to be. Its lonely working alone. It can be soul destroying at times, saying that to me its worth it, the feeling of accomplishment when you finish a job, and the client LOVES it. When the hard work you do in marketing finally starts to pay off. When you submit your tax return on the 6th April a whole 9 months early because you’ve been on point with your accounts.

In my job, I never stop learning. It can be hard to sit back and actually realise how far you’ve come. 14 years ago I was stuck in a job I hated, It was good pay but anxiety physically made me feel sick as I walked up to the building. (I thought it was morning sickness) I decided to use my maternity leave to test if I could make a living from photography. I had 1 year if it didn’t work I could return to my old role and carry on like before. I shot my first wedding 20wk pregnant, quickly followed by another 2 before I left on maternity leave. Our family got by without my wage, we weren’t flush but we managed, so I never went back!

Fast forward 14 years,

I have shot well over 50 weddings, 5000 boudoir clients under various companies I have a degree, regular work in the creative industry which most can only dream of!

Knowing Im doing exactly what I should be doing right now is a great feeling
